PCINOGAT.VXD is a replacement for PCI.VXD. PCINOGAT.VXD does not try to turn off the GAT bit of the Intel SIO chip set. If you have a problem when using DMA devices like floppy or playing an AVI file with a DMA sound card, and you have a system device named "Intel 82378 SIO PCI to ISA bridge", you may want to try this PCI.VxD instead. To try the replacement driver, make a copy of your existing PCI.VXD, copy PCINOGAT.VXD to PCI.VXD, and restart your system. ===== PCIIDE.VXD is a replacement for PCI.VXD PCIIDE.VXD includes special code to detect disabled IDE controllers when running in native PCI mode. If you are not running with 32 bit disk access, and device manager shows a PCI IDE controller in conflict (code 15), you may want to try this PCI.VxD instead. PCIIDE.VXD includes special code to enable the minimum amount of resources on a PCI device. If you are getting GP Faults and Blue Screens on bootup, and Safe Mode shows an AIC-25PC10 or other PCI IDE Hard Disk Controller, you may want to try this PCI.VxD instead.
