Help on Document DESCRIPTION: The document window is used to display a retrieved document listed in the Results List of a query window. The words or topics related to the query you used in your retrieval appear highlighted in the text of the document. You can open multiple document windows, if you wish, so you can compare the results of your retrievals. To scroll this window to see more text, use the scrollbar. To close this window, follow the same procedure used to close a window in your graphical user interface. SCROLLING DOCUMENT TEXT: The scrollbar scrollboxes in the document window are used to scroll the displayed text. The scrollbar includes a darkened portion which indicates the position of the displayed text relative to the entire document. Click on the scrollbar with the mouse to move up and down through the document. MOVING BETWEEN RETRIEVED DOCUMENTS: If you wish to open only one document window to display several retrieved documents, you can do so by selecting the "Next Document" option from the Navigate menu. This optional allows you to display the next retrieved document from the Results List of a query window. To display the previous retrieved document from the Results List of a query window, select the "Previous Document" option from the Navigate menu. MOVING BETWEEN HIGHLIGHTED WORDS: To move forward from highlighted word to the next highlighted word in a displayed document, select the "Next Highlight" option from the Navigate menu. To move backward from highlighted word to a previous highlighted word in a displayed document, select the "Previous Highlight" option from the Navigate menu in TOPIC for other retrieval clients. DISPLAYING ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT INFORMATION: To display additional information relating to a displayed document, select the "Get Info" option from the File menu. The additional information that appears in the Get Info dialog box is set up by your TOPIC database administrator. HYPERLINK CONNECTIONS: The HyperLink connections feature is an optional automated cross-referencing facility which allows you to establish direct links with other related information contained within your TOPIC database. Note that if your site has not purchased HyperLink connections, you cannot use this facility. You can create a HyperLink connection to establish one of the following: Document Link: A link between the displayed document and another document within your TOPIC database Note Link: A link between the displayed document and a note, which can includedescriptive information or comments added by you or other TOPIC users Image Link: A link between the displayed document and an image file Query Link: A link between the displayed document and a saved query file which was used to retrieve that document For complete information on creating and using the optional HyperLink connections facility, refer to the TOPIC User's Guide for your retrieval client. CLOSING A DOCUMENT WINDOW: To close a document window, use the same method for closing any other window in your graphical user interface.
