Computers for Education (CFE) has selected IBM to provide every K-12 school, teacher and student in the United States with a free Internet web site. The American School Directory project, a collaboration by CFE, IBM K-12 Education, Apple Computer Inc. and Vanderbilt University, will be the largest K-12 Internet project ever accomplished. As the -Internet home- for all K-12 schools, the American School Directory will provide information and communication for teachers, students, parents, local communities and families planning a move.
